Yes and no. Yes, if you have DX lenses and want to use the full sensor in the D3s, no, as they will work on the D3s in crop mode, which the camera detects automatically, but you won't be using the full size of the sensor.

Granted Oldboy, but what would be the point of spending all that money on a full frame then not use it?

Because you have a great camera which you can use now and save up to get the better lenses in the future.

Why do you need a full frame? You got a shed load of lenses that fit you d3100. Wait a month for the d300s replacement or get a d7000.
