Am I shortlisted or is that still to come

Hi everyone

I got mail from poty a few days ago asking for high res versions of two of my images for the pre selection team. Is this the equivalent of shortlisting?

There are people all over the net saying they have been shortlisted and im just wondering how or when will I find out? For exaple this one

This fellow at the above link was notified by email last night. Im really confused and frustrated as things seem unclear.

I have been asked for high res images as a couple of mine i saved for web for quicker upload and low res is no good for print
I dont even expect the judges to look at my images as i have my own style of post processing which doesnt fair well here in the UK

As for my 12 year old son whom recently won a photographic comp in an adult class and it really did knock the judge backwards when after i told her he was 12 I have high hopes for him in young poty

but then on the other hand he takes correct images not childs images so maybe they wont be so impressed as judges are
