The "Almost entered this one" thread - backlit

had an idea that it might be nice to post your "almost entered this one" shot for critique. I'll start with this half-assed affair.

A rushed job of the east windows in Newcastle Cathedral. Would have spent more time with composition etc. but the vicar chased me out. He was setting up for a Service that apparently he has every Sunday morning - who would have guessed!

I've got loads I didn't enter for different reasons. I'll see if I can get some in one thread.



Reason: too much 'going on' in the background. I took several flower shots here, but all had too messy a background.



Reason: Too stark and too abstract.



Reason: I preferred the cornflowers, which were shot at exactly the same location.
