Hi Shaun,

Just had a look at the full size version in your gallery and the focus looks quite soft. What lens were you using for this shot? It says on the exif data you were at 300mm, which make me believe you had zoomed in to it's narrowest field of view. Zoom lenses by the they way they're engineered tend to be quite soft at either extreme of it's focal length range. Try using it between 150mm - 230mm and you'll get far sharper results, plus try not to use too wide or too small an aperture because this too can cause the focusing to soften.
