I know what you mean but..... many people in the Army already feel they've been kicked in the privates (ooh - that's good, eh?) by this government. Picture a group of squaddies on patrol in Afghanistan/Bosnia/Iraq/Northern Ireland (delete as applicable) - just been shot at, bombed or mined - they get back to their base only to discover that yet another 5.000 are to be cut from their number. Morale? You jest!

On the other hand, let loose a battalion of the Parachute Regiment onto the streets of East London with orders to, "Apprehend, with force, and deal with as you see fit, anybody caught looting and causing affray". Oh deep joy!

According to my girlfriend its pretty muc died down up there now, she was slightly scared about going out this moring, bus went past one of the shopping centres attacked, shes in kensington, went to go get some food, every shop is closed with notes saying no stock or money left in store,

i blame human rights taking the smacking away of kids brings them up totally different i was brought up not in a strict way but firm and knew if i did wrong i'd be in trouble when i got home now youve just got to look at a kid wrongly nd you take away their so called human rights and as for scared to be sued i blame the yanks for that suing at every possible opportunity but thats just my opinion

Apparently sales of aluminium baseball bats is up 5,000% on Amazon. They're also recommending purchase with these, fingerless gloves for better grip.
I don't think it's the looters that are after these, because they're so stupid they're probably looking for their local branch of Amazon on the high street so they can get them for nothing.

I saw the mention of bats on the news here. A lot of criminals are using this as cover for their own activities.

Watching the news, I am shocked, horrified and sickened that fellow human beings can act in such a mindless, sick, animal like way, with no respect for others and their property and even their lives. They are sick, mindless thugs and should be publically flogged!
