Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS or Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro???

Hi Guys.

I would really love some help deciding between these two lenses or any others that are between their price brackets.

I want a new medium telephoto zoom lens that will be able to capture wildlife (Birds, dear, e.t.c.). I think the lenses above (Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS or Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro) are good lenses at a good price but I also have looked at the Tamron 70-300 but im concerned about image quality.

Any one got any ideas??!

Cheers,

Tom

The Sigma's excellent value (and probably the best value here) amd will give very acceptable shots. But like all wildlife shooting, the lens is never quite long enough (I use a 500 prime and still wish it were longer!)
