Must admit that I thought that you were being a bit adventuruous. But a skill a month, you can count me in. I did try focus stacking once but didn't get anywhere with it.

@ Eysha and Reinardina - I think that you should be ok as long as you can switch the autofocus off as I believe that you need to focus on the nearest point and retain that focus point as you move nearer to the object. I did see a magazine article once where it was done with a landscape so don't think just insects.

Yup - have had a go this afternoon with a flower. Yet to process it though.

This looks interesting. I might have a go in the next couple of days.
Just downloaded the free trial version of Helicon Focus 5.2 (as seen in video), and I'm definitely going to try it out with my macro lens. Good idea Chris!

Digidiva.

An interesting exercise. I'll say to you what I'm saying to Eysha. Just take things slowly. It's not a race.

You'll find if you look at things in a more considered and slower approach, it will probably click a lot better and you'll have a more thorough understanding of things.

Whenever anyone rushes something it invaribly isn't how we want it.

The other thing I've said to Eysha is be curious and question. By questioning, you will learn. It is how we learn.
