elements 6 editor problem

I am trying to use my elements 6 which has been troublefree so far but now when I select the "editor"it tells me that the" module cannot be found" I have restarted my computer but the result is just the same whether it be in Full,Guided, or Quick fix--any ideas please.

Sounds like a re-install is called for. I've been using PSE6 trouble-free for four years. Are you opening the Editor from the 'welcome screen' or have you set that to open Editor by default?

Thanks for yor response--I tried all methods to access to no avail but have just tried a system restore and it has worked--I would love to know where the editor disappeared to though.
