I am an idiot

We are leaving this morning for a week up at the lake. I should have rented a wide angle 10-20 lens for the week. I did not think of it until it was too late to arrange.

That is all

If you'd have come via Hertfordshire in the UK, you could have borrowed mine. Maybe next year.

Have a great time.

Agreed.... the other year I started to put two portrait orientation shots together, side by side. I didn't use a pano stitcher, just put the two images side by side on an enlarged canvas. Apart from getting a huge angle with no distortion, I end up with a 20Mp image (2 x the 10Mp my camera has). A tripod is useful but not essential.

I did not know there was one in Barrie. It is just off the highway too I would only rent, Henry's prices are too high compared to ordering from B&H (even with shipping from New York - but the CDN $ being worth more than the US $ helps as well)

I cannot get one sent here. There is no mailing address here.

I do not have a good head for panning on my tripod, so it would be harder to do.

I really wanted to use the time to evaluate for later purchase.

Yeah, Henry's aren't the cheapest around that's for sure. My Girlfriend's mother took up photography at the beginning of this year. She purchased a D90 with kit lens, then the 50mm f/1.8D and recently the, Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 from Henry's and is absolutely delighted with it. I don't think its been off her camera since she bought it about 2 months ago lol.

She purchased the Kenko extension tubes from eBay after I found them online for her. I think they were in the region of $130 cheaper than buying them from Henry's! Certainly some savings to be had if you shop around. I have to say ebay.ca sucks compared to the UK site. So much more photography related gear on there!
