Question which lens for canon 60d

Hi all, am wondering what lens you use with a canon 60d, I bought a sigma 17-70mm f2.8/f4. as a walk about lens, and im very disappointed with the results very soft or the focus point is not where it should be, wondering what every one else are using and are they happy with it. many thanks , john.

First Lens I got for my 60D was a Canon 17-85mm 3.5. Not bad for a starter lens. I now have a Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 - awesome and a Canon 70-200 f4L - also superb.

I'm using the Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4 too, and it's probably the best lens I own. Not sure why you're having problems with it, but it sounds like a lens or camera fault...

wondering if it is a compatable prob, cant be that unlucky and get 2 dodgy lens, thanks.

I got my 60D as a kit with the 18-135 f 3.5/5.6 IS. I have also got the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L IS USM which is a really nice lens.

Im thinking of getting rid of the 18-135 as there is too much cross over between the two. Sigma do a nice 17-50 f2.8 I might get.
