Kestral??

Not being total up on my Birds of Prey, but came across this guy in the Pinewoods. Before I had chance to set myself up, he decided to fly. Caught him with the setting sun on his wings.

the mid point of the wings look too pointy for a kestrel im thinking a sparrowhawk or a hobby

I only know its a Sparrowhawk because I've seen them outside my bedroom window after some birds in a holly bush
