Amy Winehouse dead!!

Amy Winehouse dead. Some have their lives taken like the poor youngsters in Norway, others just throw them away.

A real shame. A very talented young lady with a fantastic voice, who's life has been cut short.. Obviously a tormented soul, who chose to seek relief by drug use. Unfortunately, if you keep chasing the dragon long enough, it will turn around and bite you in the a$$!

This is very sad news for one as young and talented as her. It could be argued she was a car crash waiting to happen, and maybe those that were closest to her personally and professionally could have made more of a difference. Ultimately the lifestyle Amy Winehouse chose to live was of her own choice and making, and it would seem that numerous attempts were made to help her. Without her co-operation such attempts were unsuccessful and she's paid the price.

This news is not totally unexpected, but for me it's still a shocking and sad end to a talent that had a lot more to offer.

It's a real tragedy and so young too. To think that she is the same sort of age as our youngest!!!

A tortured soul gone to a better place, hopefully.

Let's hope this will wake up some of her 'life style companions' who are fully aware of the dangers of their addiction, yet somehow seem to think it won't happen to them.

A lot of the 'big name' addicts of the sixties are still around, and may give the impression it's all right, because you can overcome it, and stay famous; the big name addicts that died in the sixties and seventies conveniently forgotten.

Amy was 27 when she died. So was Jimmi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Keith Moon. The list goes on. It seems that if you follow the path of drink & drugs then your life expectancy is 27. Don't bother with the pension plan.

Its sad but true fact, but such a waste of good talentall the same. I blame the industry she was in, as I see it these people get sucked in and spat out so fast it scary and they are badly addvized and unable to copewith this life stile change

Very sad indeed, I think the big problem with anything drink or drugs related is until the person with the addiction realises it is a problem that they need to and want to address you cannot help them it is down to them saddly too late for Amy what a waste.

I don't think her friends or familly could have done anything to change her life style but they will still feel awful no doubt, such a shame.
