First DSLR for < £400 - what should I go for?

I am after some advice on what DSLR to go for - my budget will be around £400 and wondered if the Sony A330 is a good buy?

I want something that can do Auto Exposure Bracketing, as I have been getting into high dynamic range - my Canon A570 compact is giving some nice results, but is a pain as I have to manually bracket my shots!

Cheers

The a380 would be a better camera if you can stretch your budget to it. Also have a look at the kits from Olympus as they are very good value for money.

On a slightly different note - avoid the auto bracketing feature for HDR. Have a look here

I have just grabbed an A350 before they disappear. I felt the earlier models were better specified and better value as a result. I don't know if Jessops have any A300s left, but you might grab a bargain.

The a350 is a decent camera. I've handled the newer models and I don't like them as much as the older ones. The 300/350 are better built out of better materials than the 330/380.

If you can get a 300/350 then do. Plus the kit lens is the 18-70 while with the 330/380 you'd get the 18-55

Dont be afraid to look at used equipment, alot of people want the latest equipment and will offload their outgoing models. What with the Canon 7d out camera forums are littered with 50 and 40d's for sale.
