Fractalius - Good or bad

HI all

I seem to be seeing a number of these photo's appearing.

What are peeps opinions of Fractalius?

It certainly seems to give some photo's a bit of lift, perhaps that's the answer, take a mediocre or bad photo and give it the treatment.....

Thoughts??

The few examples I've seen are really nice. Let's hope it doesn't become too common though

A bit of a gimmick but I've seen more subtle results using it.... one did well at the annual exhibition by the camera club down the road.

Ah - here it is.

I'm not a fan of these effects, or HDR all that much. They're both ok in moderation, and if used when they would enhance an image, and not just used for the sake of it.

IMO, that shot you posted is too overdone.

Personally, I really like this plug-in/filter if used in moderation and on the right subject. I think the example shown at the top of this thread is way overdone. It's great to play around with but I dont think Im going to buy it I thought I would add another one in

That's a good example of how it can be used well.

Thanks for all the opinions

I have to agree, mine is over done, but I wanted an extreme example to see what people think.

I'm sure their will be a place for it and people will buy them.

Thanks again
