Another newbie...

... to this forum, anyway. I've been a Photoplus reader since it started as I bought my Canon 400D about the same time.

I didn't find out about the POTY until nearly too late, so did rush some entries in. My favourite would probably have to be a statue that I keep returning to again and again:

Don't know about other people, but there are places I go back to again and again.... there's a particular damaged statue in the cemetery near where I work which has featured a lot in the last couple of years!

Nicely done Carol,
My favourite in your portfolio is the view with the mast on the horizon - I like the composition elements of that photo a lot; Good framing, with the tall flowers in the foreground complementing the mast on the horizon.

Regards
Andy

Bright butterfly.

Carol, I like your 'Bright Butterfly' very much.

I realise how many photos I simply have not seen, even though I tried to 'keep up!'

And yes, I too keep going back to certain places to take pictures over and over again. There are always so many different ways to 'see' things and different weather can also create a totally new picture.

I haven't yet, is it worthwhile to upload a gallery here?

I do have a flickr page with some images here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/siung/

I hope it is - and I cannot see why not, as I think this site offers good exposure and some knowledgable assistance, critique when it is requested. (And I guess forums are what participants make them). I also quite like the way images are presented here and I have not been tempted to open a flickr account yet.

I liked your work in flickr by the way
Regards
Andy

Hi Andy,

There used to be widespread concern about the 'Rules and rRegulations' giving Future publishing all sorts of rights to the pictures you upload. (See other posts elsewhere on the site.)
Has this problem been solved? (Reading all of the rules and regulations again is too time consuming, so I didn't bother.)

Regards,

Reinardina.
