Just noticed your comment Steve. My research showed the f3.5 was better quality though. I'd be interested to see that review if you can link it?

Was the overall result down to price rather than optics?
Given the f3.5 may have marginally superior glass, have you benefitted from the slightly faster speed of your version? Some may not recognise that a 1/2 stop increase in aperture would ever benefit a landscape lens, but on a cloudy dark day I imagine it may just make the difference.

Hi Matt,

The comparison was in a magazine article at the beginning of last year. Unfortunately, to store my magazines for future reference, I tend to keep only pages that I think may be useful in the future so when I checked when this question was raised previously I found that I had chucked that part of that magazine out.

Given that I shoot at the sweet spot of 10mm f/11, and I haven't tried the f4 version, I can't really tell if I've benefited from it. I just wanted max image quality for my budget
