Greedy Lizard!

Would appreciate any comments on this one. Took it on a recent hooliday to the island of Tenerife ans was pleased to capture this greedy lizard.

I think this is a great shot. The sharpness on it's eye/head is spot on. It's a shame the rest of his body is slightly out of focus. Did you use a macro lens for this one? He certainly seems to be enjoying the strawberry

Thanks for the comments. I used a macro and wanted the eye/head in focus rather than the whole body, to bring the viewers attention to the head area.

Lovely shot of the little chap! I actually prefer the latter shot - it's a more powerful crop

I love the crop. But did you crop from another version. The crop doesn't seem to have the contrast and sharp detail like the first one you posted

Doesn't a crop make yo loose a little sharpness anyway? We run a comp at work and this months theme is 'in the park'. I have used this cropped version for an entry entitled 'Jurassic Park' and as it was taken on a National Park, I tthink it fits the theme and has a decent chance in wining. Does anyone else think it looks like a glove puppet? lol

The crop is great, I love the lizard! :-) To retain some detail when cropping you could use something called Genuine fractals, it enlarges the image and when you crop it should retain a bit more detail.
