I agree with this. If you take a picture of a sunset on a beach you have to add landscape, water, beach, sunset, sea to end up in the respective galleries. There is no place to add the location or name of the place anymore. A possibility would be to have the categories as categories and not tags. Just click on the categories to add the image to them and then add tags.

Thanks for this feedback, this is something we'll look into.

Best wishes,

Amy

At the moment if you click on a category you get a long list of tags before you actually see the images. Please move the tags below the images! At the moment you have to scroll way down to actually get to the pictures.

Another suggestion is to only show the most common 10 or so tags and then have something to click to "show all" if that's not enough. And please do something about categories not showing up in tags! They should be separate!

My suggestion: You click on nature and then get a list of categories that are associated with this (like animals or landscape). You can now choose one or more categories to narrow down the search or choose from a (small) selection of common tags to do the same.

Another thing I noticed. There is no way to order tags alphabetically? If you're looking for something specific that is not on the top of the list it's difficult to find anything.

I find on the gallery page, the list of tags is shown, even with a few photographs that list now covers probably 3 screens worth of page, so already way too much scrolling to even find an image, site is lookign good though, but the frames around the password and username on login are very hard to see

This COULD become a problem but I like how the interface suggests a Tag as you are typing it. Thus as you start typing "Lansca" it suggests Landscape. However, the site is slow, so by the time it makes a suggestion, the user has often already moved on. So we are getting Tags like "Landscape in America" which is kinda dopey as the user should enter two separate Tags. Hopefully this problem will go away when (1) the site speeds up and (2) we users get used to using it the way it is designed.

Oh, and I love that I am called a "Junior" member. I have not had that adjective applied to me for 40 years! ;-)

Post Refining a search by tags does not work.

The function to refine a search by increasing the number of tags to filter with does not work. Having searched by "Landscape" it currently offers 126 photos and suggests: "There are 126 photos in the "Landscape" category. To help you find less pick another category below:"

Adding another category has no effect on the number of pictures "found".

The problem would appear to be in the coding. The simple Boolean "AND" function has not been implemented properly. This should be a simple problem to fix.

Good luck!

Thumbs down Tags on pictures are stupid and pointless

Sorry I was trying to frame this in a way that would be helpful. Looks like nobody got round to testing the tags on pictures yet. Which is kind of surprising when you think about it.

I clicked on a tag below a picture. Here's what I got

Quote:
There are 1 photos in the "El Nido" category. To help you find less pick another category below:
Plus a list of all other "categories" in the world.

Points:
1. Grammar "1 photos"
2. Grammar - you don't mean less - you mean fewer
3. Logic. If there "are 1 photos" in a category then how would selecting another category mean I would get "less". And why would I want to.
4. It just plain doesn't work. Try clicking on one.
