Hi Rog,
Haze is a B****r. A UV might help, but you probably need something a bit tougher to cut through it say, a Skylight 1B.
As a post-production fix, assuming you have PS, go to Image/Adjustments/Levels, (sorry I don't know the route in Elements) and use the drop-down menu to select the Red channel. On each side of the histogram there will be a section where there is little or no exposure (sometimes it will only be on the left and on rare occasions not at all - but I'm betting in this case there'll be a lot). User the left & right sliders and move to the point where the histogram is actually doing something. Don't worry about what the picture looks like at this point.
Use the drop-down to select the Green channel and repeat the process. Same with the Blue channel. Then OK the dialogue.
Have a look at the final result and, if necessary, go back and tweek each channel until you've got the best you can get. Set up a 'before & after' to compare the end result.

Since this has bobbed to the surface again, I thought I'd do the decent thing & show you what I was going to before I went off on a rant & what I was suggesting probably got lost in the noise. I posted this into my PR gallery, a process that probably deserves a rant all of its own.

However... This edit was made with a single click on the 'CRISP' preset in Topaz Adjust. I'm sure you could do much better with more time and the original.

Getting the URL of the image to put in here is worth yet another rant, but I'm sure it's been done before and is really not worth it as there will be no action to make things easier.

Can someone tell me how to insert the image into a response? Then I'll show you my efforts, which took less than 2 minutes (even allowing the time for PS to wind itself up).

Well that didn't work. I obviously need a 12-year old to show me how it's done!

No, you can't post an image directly into a thread, you have to put it somewhere else, and then put its URL into the thread. That's what I was ranting about earlier in the thread.

OK. Let's try it this way.

What a pain. I uploaded it into my gallery. Now I'll have to delete from there.

One thing that can sometimes work is to use the Unsharp Mask on a duplicate layer, with settings of Amount=20, Radius=60, Threshold=0..... you may wish to put a layer mask on it so that you can remove it from areas already clear, and you could run it two or three times, each on a new layer, to strengthen it.

A pain indeed. But deleting it from your gallery will make it unavailable for this thread, so for the sake of the thread, you must keep it.
