Changes badly needed

Hi ,
I don't like the rating system & think that should be scrapped.
I also want to be able to remove undesirable comments should I receive any on my shots.
These are my gripes for today,

If you don't like adverse comments don't submit them for critique. It would be absolutely pointless having a system that allowed comments if the photographer could remove any he didn't like.

Hi Norman,
I am just an amateur photographer and all for my photos being criticized in a way that can help me produce better pictures but what I wouldn't want is some person leaving me a comment which may be rude or lacking in courtesy. How would you feel if you got one such comment and were unable to remove it?

I do understand that it would be upsetting. What I am arguing is that if the system allows for the removal of those types of comments what is to stop the tog from removing other criticism about the image that he/she did not like. If the system allowed that then it's likely we would not see some valid adverse comments.

Hi Elly,

We have no plans at the moment to allow users to delete comments left on their photos. However if something rude or offensive is posted, you can report this as abuse which we may be able to delete ourselves based on the content of the post.
