Pentax have announced the
Pentax Q system.... compact camera with five interchangeable lenses.
Available from September, no idea of the price yet. Competes with those other compacts with interchangeable lenses (it's not compatible with any other Pentax lenses) and the range has one or two items that should be useful - a f/1.9 47mm (equivalent) and a f/2.8 to f/4.5 27.5-83mm (equiv). also a fish-eye, a 'telephoto' (100mm equivalent) and slow 35mm equivalent (the last 3 have plastic mounts).
Optional viewfinder, an unusual flash, P/A/S/M modes, Raw and several special effects.
If it's a good price and the lenses and sensor are decent then it may become a useful 2nd or 3rd camera..... I'll wait and see.
I hope this hasn't distracted them from making quality DSLRs - I still wait in hope for a FF Pentax.
