Wink Pen & tablet for PSE 7?

I've just upgraded to Photoshop Elements 7.0, any recommendations on a pen & tablet that can be used with PSE & Vista? Ideally not too many £'s as it is for occasional home use

There is cheap and there is good, which do you want? IMHO you can't beat the Wacom range, the small Intuos 4 would take some beating. I use an earlier model and can't fault it.

The Wacom ones are good, check out the Bamboo models, they're cheaper and still pretty good.

Having said that, I had one (which I borrowed) and I've got so used to a mouse that I didn't get on with a tablet at all.

I've tried several brands but nothing comes close to the Wacom tablets. I wouldn't touch anything else now. I started with a Graphire 2 (A6) which was cheap and cheerful but perfectly adequate for starters. I now have an Intuos2 (A4+) and Intuos3 (A5). I actually prefer the 2 over the 3, the extra buttons and slide touchpad just get in the way in my opinion, first thing I do is deactivate them. That said I find the A5 size a bit easier to use. With the oversize A4 you have to wave your arm about too much- A5 is just comfortable. Thats down to personal choice though.

If I were to buy another one now I'd try and find a good Intuos2 A5 on ebay!

Wacom bamboo- the mark 2 is around £50, i use it, its great, sure its not an intuous but do you really need 700 degrees of pressure for editing photos? Also don't be put off by the small sizes of the active area on the tablet, A6 is plenty for photos. Larger boards means more movement to move the cursor, as tablets align to the monitor, i.e. they track true unlike a mouse.
Buy one, you will never look back!

I use the Wacom Bamboo Fun, use it with Mac Mini, Macbook and Laptop makes editing very easy. You can pick one up for about £70-£80. Well worth the money.
