How embarrasing!

Just received a nice letter from Northumbria Police today asking if I was the driver of the Audi TT doing 35 in a 30!

How embarrasing is that? Being caught ONLY doing 35 in an Audi TT!!!!! THE SHAME!

I'd admit it.................... if they gave me an Audi TT!

We only got to test drive one for a couple of weeks - in the early days before everyone got one! LOL! And just before everyone started losing the back end and writing them off - which subsequently entailed returning each car to Germany for the modded rear suspension and silly rear wing(let)

Love the car but a few too many faults, like the friend who parked theirs on their sloping drive and the handbrake button 'pinged', car ran downhill and demolished a wall (and pretty much of car) - moral: always leave your car in gear (though Audi owned up to problem...... eventually). And people who's dashboard went bananas, displaying full fuel when empty, etc - an expensive one-piece replacement that Audi have never acknowledged as a fault

Dan,

ACPO guidelines is not to prosecute until you are 10% plus 2mph over the limit. So that would actually be 35 in a 30, 46 in a 40 & 57 in a 50, etc.

But this is just a guideline & individual forces can set their own rules on which speed to prosecute.

The police in the northeast (especially northumberland) have a reputation of being strict and having a lot of speed cameras.
