Hi,
No-One seems to use Unsharp Mask. It's a bit more fiddly than Hi-Pass and Smart, but I think it gives more control. It works best between:
Amount 50% - 150%
Radius 1 Pixels (Low) - 6 Pixels (Very High)
Threshold 3 - 20
Always view the image at 100% to properly guage the effect.

I generally use unsharp mask and then a final tweak with the hi-pass filter. Works especially well for B/W photography to bring out the details in textures.
