Wink When should we start thinking of Christmas?

I ask this question becaus ethis morning in the post my Wife had a catalouge FULL of Christmas goodies with prices held until March 2012!

When i was a child no one thought of Christmas until at least November, whats happening to this world? can you beat this for Christmas advertising?

June 25 - then you can have a barbecue for Christmas, in the northern hemisphere! Actually, last year, Selfridges set up its Christmas shop in July, because its customers demanded an earlier launch. By all accounts it was very successful.

Denise

Blimey! We haven't even had a summer yet, the thought of Christmas and a winter like last year is way too depressing! :-) Just looking out of the window and its totaly miserable, wet, windy and like Autumn rather than Summer!

Most major retailers do a February run to the Far East for toy buys. It is not all finalised at that point, but not long after. Most things here are after Halloween, but not always. The seasonal section in most larger stores rotate and they will fill the shelves with the next set of items as one sells out. There will be some Christmas stuff out before Halloween, but not much. I do often see Christmas items in Costco in August though
