Some Abstract Landscapes

I thought I'd try some slow shutter speed shots to introduce some movement & create some abstract shots.

These were all shot from a moving car. I hitched the camera up to a Manfrotto Superclamp via bendable arm which screws into the camera base & fits to the superclamp.

This was then clamped to the passenger door handle (inside the car) with the camera pointing out the window. The camera was fired by a radio trigger.

In order to bring the shutter speed down & used a 1 stop & a 2 stop ND filter together (would have used more but thats all I have). This brought the shutter speeds down to around 1/8sec to 1 sec at f22 ISO 50.

All of them are straight out of the camera with no processing other than levels/contrast & dust spot removal (f22 doesn't half show that the sensor needs another clean)

2. Passing a parked red car

3. A Petrol Station

4.

Probably not everyone's cup of tea but I quite like them.

Cathus - nice.
Numbers 4 & 5 are great, just a shame about the flare on 4, while it doesn't distract from the image (just adds to the abstract) it would be nice to see it without the flare. If you know what I mean

Cool effect. I tried this a while ago as a passenger, but didn't get the settings right - yours have come out really good!
