Viking Charge

From the Medieval Day in Jarrow. Thought I'd share this shot with you from the event.

I don't really photograph people, so welcome your comments and suggestions.

(Pretty sure I saw DD there but not sure enough to go up and say hi ...)

Yes, I was there, wearing khaki green, with Eysha! What I didn't like about my 'fighting' shots was the backgrouns. The blue plastic, the tents and crowds. This is a good one though, mine were rubbish, apart from a couple of close ups

Yes, the two on the right aren't too serious - they look more like they're doing the Hokey Cokey. One thing with all these great outdoor events that we all have to watch out for..... backgrounds! Use a wider aperture, find a blank background, or be prepared to do some blurring in your editing.

I was at the same event. Its the 1st time I havetaken event photos and most went into the bin cos of the background. Was telling Jimmyosram just that, ealier in another thread. I need to play more with DofF.

Not a purse as such it predates the pocket.

Backgrounds are the thing for this stuff and unless you are going replace them its difficult to avoid modern living I would say.
