Comment on my landscapes

HI Guys

I have recently decided to really get into Landscape photography, I have had a few photos up on the Critique section and finally feel brave enougth to show them to the Landscape section for your expert opinion.

Please view my gallery and comment/ rate: http://www.photoradar.com/photos/50467/level200

I'm still learning so any feedback and comments will be great.

Cheers
John

Hope you don't mind me placing the photo here for you, thats the usual way we do it here...If that's a problem, let me know and I will remove it.

I think this is a lovely shot, one I would love to take myself. The colours are stunnoing. Well done.. I see you are from the Norrth East. I am trying to organisea North East meet up and wonder if you are interested.

Thanks for the kind replies, I'll try to upload the other pics into the thread instead of the link to my gallery. The gallery has a rating and comment system and I don't understand why it's so difficult to click a simple link. Perhaps the gallery system needs to be updated and integrated into the forum more seamlessly.

Have a go a trwaling through the Gallery and see how long it takes you and then try looking through a few peoples and you will soon see how much time can be wasted.

All 1,841 active members are not asking you to look through their gallery and offer advice, I am and as an example it took me a total of 10 seconds to click on your gallery link and browse your photos. BTW I really like the Infinity bridge reflections that you have caught in the water.

To be honest if its such a bother for you to click on 1 link, take10 seconds of your hectic sceduel and offer your thoughts and advice without being stroppy I would rarther not have it.

Out of interest, how long did it take you to find those all important stats and write your stroppy replies. Bet you could have offered some very useful constructive feedback on one or more of my photos in less time.

Sorry guys but this sort of reply from senior members will only serve to discourage new photographers from posting up their work.

Though Alf's reply was rude and abrupt, I do agree with him to a certain extent. It's actually quite difficult to go through someone's gallery that may contain 10 or more images and try and give any meaningful opinion about so many shots. It's much better to post each shot individually and ask for feedback.

That said, I've posted loads of images and get very little replies, so it's pretty hit and miss around here

You've taken some great shots - post them up on here and let everyone see them

I did exactly the same as you, asking people to look at my photos in my gallery. I was very kindly advised that its better to post them here as people prefer that than looking through galleries. Don't be put off, and welcome to 'critique'. Hope you didn't mind me posting your photo here for you.
