I have found this site www.stockphotography.co.uk - they split all sales 50/50 and require a submission of at least 300 photos. BUT and this is a massive but for me and makes me realise that I really do now need an upgraded camera.....they will only accept photos taken on 12+ megapixel cameras...reading the spec on my poor Canon100D, its only 10.1!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Chris,

I just had a look round that site, the prices they charge and therefore the cut to the photographers are pretty good (when compared to most of the microstock sites).

But I'd want to know what their sales are like, I just had a flick though some of the galleries and there are some seriously rubbish photos on there.

And they stick a dirty great watermark over the middle of the pics which totally detracts from them too.

in all honesty, I think it improves a lot of the shots.

check out some of these... http://www.stockphotography.co.uk/St...log.aspx?pt=73

I'm just hoping that the small versions are really really degraded in the display process and that the full size shots are a far far higher quality, but without wishing to sound cruel, the quality of some of those photos is dire.

To be honest, if that page is an example, and it's the landing page for photos in the UK, and I was in the market to buy some photos, I would look elsewhere.

Yes, there was a stock company not many years back that insisted on pictures only from a small range of cameras.... all, of course, full-frame - Nikon D700 or D3, Canon 1Ds or 5D, or Medium Format. The exif, of course, had to stay with the picture. It was a bit exclusive, as if they were saying "You'd have to be a pro to use these, so there".

You can increase the size of your photo by using you imaging software. If the picture is good enough to start with, then it should be possible to increase the size by twice with very little loss in quality.

The site didnt really impress me looks cheep and with no examples of images on the front page to draw customers in, cant see it doing well,
