Sunset Beach

This beach is called golden sands and for much of my life it was black with coal dust ironic really.

Anyway what do you think is right and more likely wrong with this shot.

Hi Alf,
It's a nice location, nothing wrong with the picture - Lot's to have a play with on this picture though - you should know by now I like to tinker

One option -
Cut the bottom sandy bank off and a tad on the left side (where the black vertical line is) to square it up, drop the exposure down to darken everything (making the foreground buildings completely silhouette) this will also add depth to the sky and you can increase the saturation to bring more of the orange out in the sky.

Another option -
As above, but also crop the sky out to make a 'letterbox' of the silhouette.

Another option -
As option one, but also crop in tighter on the left hand side and crop some of the right hand side to make it 'portrait' and make the buildings look small against that big sky....

Enjoy

Phil

Its quite accurate for what I saw as far as brightness but I may brighten it. Fow did you even spot the car lights

Dan
The spots are caused by spray from the sea on the font of the protrction filter

Phil
I will have more of a play with it and the other shots taken to see what I can do. I like to play with my images too.
