I think it stands a reasonable chance of being a POTD! It's so good I wish I'd took it... or at least something similar!

For me, it's the light, reflection and colours.

If I had to be picky (only my opinion), I would cloned out the 2 vapour trails and the marks in the water on the right side of the image.

Timing has been they key to this shot whether by luck or not but luck always plays a part. If the tide had been in the and slighty rough you would not have had the reflections of course. Some locations need to be visited on numerous occasions to get a shot as good as this. I got half an hour taking shots of reflections on a lake and just after the wind picked up another photographer turned up I was lucky he was not so lucky.

I would have taken a second shot slightly to teh right to create a panorama if teh lens was the widest available to give a little room to the right of pier.

For me Light.... cant beat it, its always differnet, unpreidctable and produces stunning results, i got one of my favourites the other day, the lighting was perfect, it is all about timing... can get a cracker one day then get nufing for the next few trips.... Waiting for the light....
