Variety

On Sunday went to my SSSI to get Dragons, Damsels or Greater Crested Newts. No DFs and the pond was a puddle so it was an attempt to get other shots in the windy, sun and showers conditions

#1 One Ant

#2 Two Fragile Leaves

#3 One Lemony Fly

#4 Three Blue Flowers

#5 One Buzz

#6 One Horsetail

#7 One Eye

Sigma SD14, Sigma 105mm
except #4: Canon G11

Really nice collection of shots, awesome work. The hoverfly one is *almost* perfect, but i'm amazed you got it as good as you did!

I really like number 6. The colour is stunning and I love the dof. Combined with the shapes its a really well done shot.

All really good photos.

Not sure if you wanted to know the plant names. If not please destroy this message :-). I'm pretty sure the first 'One Ant' is Common vetch (Vicia sativa), the second 'Two fragile leaves' looks like a shoot from the trunk of an apple or cherry tree and 'Three blue flowers' is Common field speedwell (Veronica persica).

Cheers, Nick!

Always appreciate info on subjects (especially as I'm rubbish at ID'ing them!), just as I appreciate any comments or suggestions!
