Smile which lens,,Help

dont know what to do now
was saveing to buy the canon ef 100-400 f/4.5-5.6l is usm now in this months mag a test has been done
best value sigma 120-400
best on test sigma 150-500 f/5-6.3 dg os hsm the mag may 2011
what should i do?
i want to take aircraft and wild life pics

Personally I would go for the Canon lens. Why? L series lenses are as much an investment as they are practical if you have a Canon body — keeps things tidy if you know what I mean? That's only my take on it, but L series lenses are a joy to use.

I agree with KeithT , the Canon L series lenses are top quality optics, that said, I would not go for the 100-400.
If you need the focal length at 400mm the Canon EF 400mm f5.6 L lens is superb and you don't need the IS version with the extra cost.
