Slow delivery, again

I see issue 48 it out. I just received my subscription issue 47 two days ago. Since Canada is only a few hours flight from the UK, any idea why:

1. It takes almost a month after the magazine arrives in shops in the UK for my subscription to arrive?
2. Why it comes from Germany?

It used to be about 10 days after people reported receiving their subscription issues or about 5 days after it hits shops in the UK.
