Nikon repair - I AM SO ANGRY!!!!!!

I feel like kicking the wall right now!

My D90 has been returned for the second time to fix a focusing issue. Just got it back this evening.

Tried a couple of lenses on it, they felt a little stiff when I attached them. Removed the lenses, checked inside the camera, there are loads of tiny scrapings of metal!

Don't know what they did with the lens mount, but the bayonet fittings on my 35mm, 50mm and 85mm have been really badly scraped, especially the 85mm.

Would you expect Nikon to fix my lenses, as well as re-repair (for the second time) my camera?

The camera being ****e I can cope with, but the damage to my favourite primes has got me mad as hell!

I feel your pain.

Speak with consumer direct, they will arm you with your exact rights which always helps when you need to speak to Nikon

Need to question Nikon about this as it doesn't sound very good. Not sure what country you are from, but should have comsumer protection laws that would enable you to get redress for the damage caused.

I agree with Cathus. Nikon are a nightmare to deal with and won't accept responsibility for anything. Get some legal advice and hit them hard!
