Arrow DSLR under £300

I'm knew to this forum and understand you've probably all seen similar threads, but would really appreciate the help and advice, so if you have any, please comment!

I'm looking for a DSLR for under £300.

I would like it to have very good quality HD filming and a high fps if possible for slow motion clips.
I would also like it to be able to take clear shots of moving objects outdoors (mountain biking).
It must have all the basic DSLR tools and fuctions too, e.g. a view finder.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I've already been suggested the FujiFilm HS10 for it's great filming and ability to play back in slow-mo, but apparently the rest isn't too good.

I cannot give advice on pricing, since I am in Canada. However, the Fuji is not an SLR camera. Sounds more like your main focus is video and not photos.

Second-hand might be your best route. I can't see you getting a new one under 300 quid.

Amazon have some used stuff here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/?ie=UTF8&k...l_12naon2lsg_b

What about a used D40 or D3000 and the 50mm or 18-55mm VR would be under £300 easily - however you're unlikely to get one that can shoot HD video for £300

Like Marcus said, you're not going to find an SLR that doesn HD video for less than £300. Even less likely if you want a lens to go with it.

As Don said, it's not an SLR and there's nothing wrong with it. I would suggest you consider the HS10 along with a camera like the Canon SX130 IS.

Dont even think the D5000 is coming in that cheap used - think they are holding around £350 - The HS10 doesnt have a proper viewfinder anyway - it has an electronic viewfinder.....
