Cable release for alpha 330

Does any one know if you can get a cable relaese to fit the Sony Alpha 330 or can you only get a wirless release?

I got one for an alpha 200 from amazon. I think it was under a fiver and works fine

You can get a wired cable release for the a300 series cameras but they don't work as the cameras don't have anywhere to plug them in.

There are loads on eBay but they're all nonsense.

Thanks for that, ordered a wirelless remote, but have been advised you need to be infront the camera as it do not work from the back!!!

If it's an infra red remote you will have to have line of sight between the camera and the remote.

If you got a radio one, you'd not have that problem - you can fire around corners and walls etc. Hahnel do a "Combi TF" which is a remote release and flash trigger which does IR and radio in the same package. You can even add more recievers later on so you can add wireless flashes galore and trigger the whole thing (camera and lights) from somewhere else. They cost around £50 for the basic pack (which is all you would need).
