Turkey entry fee

Does anyone know anything about having to pay £10 at the airport in Turkey to enter the country and if so, does it have to be a brand new crisp note?

I think the rule still holds today as it did when I last visited Turkey over 10 years ago. It's the price of an entry visa if you are entering the country for a land based stay. They will not give change and expect the currency of your nationality: an English £10.00 note if you are British (they won't take a Scottish note or loose change). If you are on a cruise ship, a transit visa can be issued free of charge.

They will take any tenner you have as long as it`s legal

They do not give change so dont hand a £20 over and you each have to pay seperately.

Other than that they would have a cheek asking for new notes when you see thier money.
