Are the free photoshop frames and other freebies ok for commercial use?

Hi!

I'm new here, discovered the site while googling photoshop frames. The frames are really nice and modern and the tutorial easy to understand. I downloaded, but there was no terms of use in the zip. I really would like to use them, I hope to make digital portraits for sale one day. Still in the baby stages.

I wanted to check first to see if the frames and other freebies on the site are ok for commercial use and if so, does there need to be credits or link backs.

Thanks for offering such a nice site & hope everyone is having a nice spring!

Hi yoursparkle, welcome to the foum

I'm not Photoradar staff so I can't answer definitively, but nobody has rreplied.

As far as I am aware, if they were offered for free download (which they were) there are no restrictions on you using them for commercial purposes unless Photoradar specifically state otherwise. They haven't so I would assume you're fine.

If they weren't happy, they wouldn't have put them up for you to download for free

I don't think it's safe to assume just because something is offered for free download that means it is also available for you to make cash from it. Unless there is a licence with the images outlying free commercial use then it's best to assume the opposite.

You really need to await a definitive answer from the copyright holder, which I assume is the magazine.

I am starting and on a budget. Past experience has taught me if it a freebie is not declared ok for commercial use, it is best to ask. Some instances it has been ok others definitely not ok.

I like when there is a 'terms of use' note in the zip. It is a surefire way to let people know if commercial use is ok. If there is no response from the site admimistraror or owner, I will delete the files and move on but I am glad to have found this forum and site though- lots of good stuff here...
