Question Help if possible

I dont have a DSLR only a bridge camera which is my main problem as everyone seems to give advice on DSLRs but that aside last week I happened to come across some cycle time trails and thought I would have a go at some acttion shots . I found that when I panned with the cycles I got some okish pics good colours and in focus and sometimes managed to get them in frame but when I set my camera (Finepix 1700) to a contiuous burst of 10 the photos would have been great apart from the wierd colourings bleached out, pinks and blues like a sci fi sort of effect what can I do to pervent this I have put some of the images in my photo albums and any advice would be welcome I know I have put this on another forum but everyone seems to look and give no solutions
