Industrial landscape

Fish-eye and wide angle lenses. Distance from some of the water coolers between 50 and 100 feet. Tripod used, long exposures and delberate camera movements.

WOW Karen, i love the first shot, very striking and a great abstract feel to it, and the second with the fisheye looks brilliant too, well done, great shots...

My favourite is #3, a great gritty, dirty, industrial image. Excellent.

(It also looks a bit like a dead elephant, with its legs in the air).

Cracking series of shots Karen.

You also answer the question, how to take different shots of the same object, brilliantly.

Thanks a lot everyone :-) I do have lots of film prints where I merged negatives in the darkroom of these coolers so I might scan them and upload them when I have time to see what you think :-) I do want to make some photographs of them using aluminium sheeting but carrying the sheet over farmland is something I need to sort out!

Thanks, Alf :-)

Well you know how reflective certain aluminium sheeting can be? If you get a sheet that is thin enough it bends very easy and can create some surreal reflections. Problem is its also very sharp so I need to think of a way of carrying it without chopping off my fingers. I have considered having a handle welded on to it or something like that.

Neophrene gloves? 6mm thickness, ive never put anything though them as of yet, or use pipelagging to cover the edges, easier than welding, interesting idea,

1&3 are my favourites. 1 reminds me of bowling pins about to topple. The 3rd looks industrious and has great feel and textures. Well done on these pics and for your win in the DC mag which I spotted when reading it on the beach.
