Thumbs down

Silvia, with Adblock as a browser plugin, you can get rid of any advert you don't like. We shouldn't have to spend money though to allow the interface to run smoothly. Shame on Radar team for not thinking this through properly.

Totally agree, flashing or fast moving ads can be so annoying that you simply ignore them or scroll away fast! - You would think with the money spent money earn statistics these guys should have realized by now.

Why can't I just copy and paste a picture from my gallery? the insert image feature doesn't seem to work either!

I know people don't like change and I'm trying to like this but it's a challenge at the moment. The only picture in my gallery at the moment is the screenshot you requested, if you can find my gallery have a look at the screenshot.

Phil

The jury's out at the moment. Having spent a couple of hours in total on the site, it's just a little bewildering, with too much on it.

I'll just concentrate on the areas that are of interest to me and that's images and chat about photography in general. Leave the equipment. techniques etc. alone.

Find the thumbnails much too small, and when you go to areas of interest, e.g. B+W before you can begin to look at any images it's necessary to scroll through acres of text which appear meaningless. Not too sure what that is all about?

I would imagine your market research, especially in demographics pointed you in the direction of a fairly young age group, and this is reflected in the writing style of the articles, bit like the magazines my grand-daughter buys.

One thing to congratulate you all on. You have let us see the kind of photography that you take.

Hi Abers,

That text you are scrolling through is a bug we are working on fixing.

Do you not like the techniques and other content? Is there anything specific you don't like about it?

Thanks,

Amy

I didn't say I didn't like it Amy, I just said I wouldn't be using it. It holds out a false promise to those that use it. It may improve their technique but it will never make anyone a better photographer as it says in the intro.

Hi Alan,

Why will improving your technique not make you a better photographer?

We're going to have to stop meeting like this Amy. I make a statement that is a personally held view and not a statement of fact and lo and behold you pose a question. Why do YOU think improving your technique, like erecting your tripod , has anything whatsoeverto do with making you a better photographer?

Or is this a ploy to try and generate a discussion like we have/had on DCM?

I think, for example, knowing how to erect a tripod will make you a better photographer because you will then be able to take shots which require the use of a tripod, such as some macro shots and frozen water shots.

Without knowing basic skills like this then you might not be able to improve and become better - which is what we are aiming to do here.

Thanks,

Amy
