Hi everyone,

Thanks for your kind words and comments.

I'm glad you like the techniques section, bones615, keep an eye out for more from us here at PhotoRadar, and let us know if you have any suggestions.

Thanks,

Amy

One thing is getting very frustrating, having to scroll right down the page before get to the posts. Early days though hopefully that will change.

If you click on this icon then it will take you to the first unread post of the thread. It's also available from the forum thread list.

I kind of agree it is really busy. It isn't bad on the mainhome page (and actually I like the main page layout) but when you get to the forums you kind of want something simliiar to potn or others (I use potn as an example because most probably know it).

The site may look busy but it also looks a lot cleaner than some of the other forums that I am a member of. Its also a great deal faster and easier to navigate.

Common peops afterall it is only in the Beta stage.

Thanks for both of your comments.

The forums will be rearranged once we go live, as at the moment we are mainly using them to post feedback/bugs/comments on the new site etc. Once we go live we'll have a few different posting areas.

Websites are always at their best when they are simple and clear, this is definately not one of them.

Its looks more like the classified at the back of the magazine rather than a site that is intended to inform and educate.
A fact of life
no adverts == no money
no money == no web site or magazine

Its early days for me and I do appreciate you have to generate income from advertising, but what a disappointment and a distraction to have Canon, then again it could have been Nikon I suppose.
The site is more responsive than the previous one and I do hope that it does not slow down.
Everyone seems to be Junior Members, very worrying.

Edit: Just posted and noticed I am also a Junior Member, how wonderful.

We are all junior members because we are all 'New' members; i would guess with this forum, as with other forums, that your status will improve the more posts you make?

Actually the adverts don't bother me as long as they only start once. Like the T3 gadget award one. When you first load the page it does its thing and then stays still, whereas the Future ad just keeps on moving and moving which is very distracting. The moving ad on the top I don't mind.
