Angry Too busy

Me no like

Too busy, to much going on and too many adverts.

Websites are always at their best when they are simple and clear, this is definately not one of them.

Its looks more like the classified at the back of the magazine rather than a site that is intended to inform and educate.

I agree to some extent. The site has a lot of distractions. It is definatley quicker than the last site and I don't hate it but it doesn't really stand out against the other photography websites. Obviously its a beta site though and some things will change so I am not going to rubbish anything yet.

There is a massive amount of content for a beta site so when it's live will it still run as quick? In fact as a begginer to photography there is enough on here already to keep me going. Kinda makes me wonder why I pay my subscription to dcmag lol.

Hi Phil,

Sorry you don't like the site. Personally I think its format is clear and easy to navigate for a site with so much content, especially when you compare it to other photography sites.

In order to provide a free website, we do need to carry adverts.

Rachael

Hi there,

The site won't slow down when we go live, don't worry!

Cheers,

Rachael

To some extent I agree, I understand the need for advertising but there does seem to be a lot especially for the forum pages, 1/3 of the screen for my monitor settings.

Hi Phil,

Sounds like your monitor settings are wrong or the site is displaying incorrectly - would you like to post a screen grab?

Cheers,

Rach

Hi guys

This is my first visit to the site. Looks to be running a little slow and the adverts are slightly distracting but they are tasteful (because they are Canon ;o) ) so i dont mind.

Great job with the site Rachael. Lets hope this continues to be a success.

I have a 4cm black strip either side on my 17" tft running at 1280 x 1024 and level with this reply box the slider at the side is half way down. The adverts dont bother me I always ignore them anyway, especially Canon ones. lol.

Completely agree. The site is far too cluttered. Too many subjects competing for attention on each page. If this was a photograph it would be considered poorly composed.

Less is more. It really is.

Sorry.

I like the techniques section, but with all that info available who will buy the mags?I occaisionally get given a 2nd mag & never buy one anyway but now I will be able to cherry pick articles from this site.

Dont like too many ads all crammed at the top of the page.

Site seems slow, hopefully it will improve.

Back button on my browser does not work, very annoying.

Password box keeps popping up when navigating through my photos.

Looks good so far
