Unhappy Canon 24-70mm F2.8L IS or Canon 24-105 F4L IS?

As a landscape/cityscape photographer and recently converted from Nikon D700 to Canon 5D Mark II i cannot seem to make up my mind between those two lenses! ..

my old Nikon gear used to have below lenses:
- Nikon 24-70mm F2.8
- Nikon 16-35 F4
- Nikon 300mm F3
- Nikon 50mm F1.4G
- Nikon 60mm F2.8G (Macro)
- Nikon 18-200mm VR 1 (DX) < never used it with D700
- Nikon 10.5 fish eye F2.8G

and now i am re-selling those for below:

- Canon 5D Mark II
- Canon 17-40 F4L USM
- Canon 24-70mm F2.8L IS USM
- Canon 24-105mm F4L IS USM
- Canon 70-300mm F4.5L IS USM (new one)

i am really confused between both Canon 24-70mm or 24-105mm!!
Any help ?? i am concern about the sharpness/vignetting and soft edges!

Please let me know which!

There are loads of discussions about this on the internet.

Overall, the answer seems to be the 24-70mm if image quality is the most important thing. If it's size and weight, get the 24-105mm.
There is little difference. The extra stop of the f/2.8 could be useful for depth of field, but it's of little merit for low light as you get at least 3 stops from the IS in the 24-105mm. For sharpness and vignetting the 24-70mm usually wins out, if only because it's faster. Shoot both at 24mm f/4 and you're going to get less vignetting and distortion with the 24-70mm.

Oh, and you could always rent them both and see which you get on with better...

Just something to add you refer to the 24-70 as the 24-70 IS this is not an IS lens.

I have used both and Chris is absolutely right the 24-70 is a heavy lens.
