Browndog, think yourself lucky you got a vip invite! Having only been on DCM since 2003 I obviously didn't qualify and have only just discovered that DCM is no more!
Love and best wishes

Mart, don't take it personally! As another who had been on DCM since 2003 and, until overtaken by photo comments, was the number one poster, I did'nt get an invite either - in fact most of those who kept things running along at the end did'nt. We kept being told we would though - and every time someone pops up here to complain they did'nt get an email they're told they did. Have'nt seen many of your old mates about here - DMT and Tristan are the only ones I can recall - so perhaps they did'nt get an invite either!

I Keep taking a look to see if it's improving.....but it's not exactly buzzing....

Feisty as ever DMT, maybe if they gave you the option to delete your own account, like many sites do.. I wouldn't be joining the growing number of members wishing to have a, how to delete your account e-mail from Amy... It appears that the people at DCmag, Photoradar, whatever, still haven't learnt from the mistakes of past....Besides that, I have the right to request my account to be deleted, that's what I want...

i'm not feisty, i just speak my mind..
of course you can have your account deleted but my point really was that it serves no purpose.. if you want to make a stand, like so maany others then start a poll thread.. or similar.. it would be mighty interesting i think to see how people really view thier account on here..
there have been many changes since the "upgrade" some seem to love it but i think they are in the minority.. in my opinion the site has taken a definate turn for the worse.. whilst amy does listen and does her best to answer queries, most of what people want is way beyond her remit anyway..
personally i loathe the new site, i am at the moment at a bit of a loss as to where to stick to, flikr is just boring, and whilst cc is an excellent site with absolutely everything one could ask for i feel as though i have stepped back in time to the very very horrid pinguish era..

Always admired your straight to the point truth, DMT and I know how you feel.. I really loved the old DCmag site, there were people commenting on each others images all the time, excellent threads which everyone joined in on, and a few scraps along the way (which I liked), but in all the site was great... I think they should have just kept the very original format and beefed the engine up, after all that's what the members wanted...

I have been checking out alot of different Photography sites in the last few months, Ive even uploaded some images to a couple, Flickr, Photoanswers, Photography monthly but I think im going to stop at ephotozine now, it's a very good site, I really like it there..

Take care
Lee

Hi Lee,

Please can you send me an email with your request to leave the site and I'll see what we can do for you. If you have any problems that we can work together to solve please don't hesitate to get in contact.

And DMT - is there anything in particular you don't like about the site, please do let us know and we may be able to answer your queries or make improvements based on user feedback.

Thanks,

Amy

I've made an error entering my username. Seems the only way to correct this is to delete my account. Please either delete it or email me instructions. Thank you.
