Using textures in GIMP

Well, I'm already getting frustrated. I posed the following question as a comment at the "textures" page. But I wasn't a member, so I couldn't post it. So I joined up. Glad to. Now ALL the comments are gone.

Here's my question. I can download all the free borders and grids,etc. and they work just fine. I can download the textures o.k. but they won't work in GIMP as it does not recognize DNG files. On the textures page, there is a DNG converter but when I click on it, there is nothing there. Any help? How can I use these textures in GIMP?

What textures page? Anyway ufraw plugin for GIMP supports DNG format.
