pocketwizard plus ii

i am looking to purchase a pocketwizard plus ii and need some advice as to what other equipment i will need for this to work.. i currently have a canon EOS 7d and a 430x speedlite and a variety of lenses.

the main use is going to be extreme sports .

any information as to what else i would need for this to work would be great

You'll need two, one on the camera & one for the flash. You won't need any extra equipment, it comes with a lead with two sockets to fit your flashgun (assuming the 430EX has a socket - I don't know as I only have 530EX11s)

The only additional thing you might want is a dedicated lead from the PW to your camera if you ever want to use the PWs to fire the camera shutter from a remote distance, these have to be bought separately & allow you to, for instance, put the camera in goalmouth & fire it remotely, or set it up for wildlife/bird shots & trigger it from a hide or somewhere.
