to be honest Karen I've never heard of beta carotene but shall investigate further, thank oyu for that, i sunburn just seeing the sun and need factor 50 to stop me burning so easily.

I'm the complete opposite. I am really dark at the moment and am almost as dark as my husband who is dark anyway. Side effect of medication I take though as it makes me tan easily and very sun-sensitive.

It is supposed to be sunny for a few hours today (it is right now) and hit 18C. Then thunder storms and rain. Tomorrow rain and 13C, Friday showers and 10C. Saturday it was 19C and sunny for a few hours. I actually got a bit of a burn on my head while I took the girls to the park.
