[quoteEDIT: Guys, I found out that the 1000D can't record video! so the 1100D is the right one, then. (very good price with everything that I need from a SLR!)[/quote]

Danoosh, but from the criteria you've given you don't need a DSLR at all. What you need is one of these! It'll knock the socks off anything the Canon 1100D can do as far as videoing goes.

Though can you clarify soemthing for us all, do you want to use this camera predominantly to take video or to take still shots?

Ian, I need a camera that shoots and takes HD shots. shooting (recording video) and taking photos in HD mode and in good quality is very very Important for me. I use "SONY VEGAS" and "ADOBE PREMIER, AFTER EFFECTS, PHOTOSHOP" software and I need a very good but cheap camera. I just found a good camera in the net that was 7500 $!!! of course it was what I need but was expensive, too!

EDIT: Ian, I just saw the page you've posted. I had read it carefully and found out that it is a very cool camera. it has manual focus (which is very important to me) it can record and take photos in HD mode and has some good equipments for taking shots and recording better. however,I don't like some "basic and rubbish" equipments like "Face Recognition" or something... but the main problem of this camera is it's price...it starts from 1075$! but if the Canon 1100D come to Iran (it hasn't come, yet) I bet that it'd never be that expensive!

but I think that the one Ian suggested is better than the 1100D one.isn't it? or it is? help me please!

If you don't want the "basic and rubbish" features like face detection - turn it off and don't use it. Just because it's there, you don't have to use it.

Ian is right though, you don't need an SLR for the things you want to do. There are literally hundreds of cheap HD camcorders that record stills and allow manual focus. For example:

Panasonic HDC-[SD60
JVC GZ-HM300
Canon LEGRIA HF M306
Sony CX115

It is better than an EOS 1100D for your needs.

I mean that those options will increase the price of cameras. otherwise, it is obvious that if I don't like those options, I'll turn them off!

They don't increase the price of the cameras.

You've not said what your budget is. It's imossible to suggest camcorders that might be suitable without knowing how much money you have to spend...

Danoosh, the link I gave you was to their latest range of HD camcorders and there were several models starting from their basic starter model right up to their top spec model. You should've been able to find one in that range that suited both your budget and criteria of what it must be able to do. Otherwise, if the only models that met your criteria were out of your budget, it probably means that your expectations of what you can get for within your budget are unrealistic, unless you look at buying one secondhand.

I don't have any problem with money, I just said that the 1100D is cheaper than the one Ian said.
I am going to buy this:
http://www.digikala.com/?Products=Di...t-SX130-IS#Tab
and then, I'll buy the HDC-700TM (or HS) when I get my credit card charged.

"Panasonic HDC-700 series" is really completely blast! it's sick! I have never seen that kind of camera in my life! I buy it one day! I very thank you Ian. for introducing me that camera!

You should do ok with the Canon Powershot SX130 IS for starters and yes the Panasonic HDC-700 series is a fantastic bit of kit. I recently had a play with one at an exhibition, where it was being demonstrated by a chap from Panasonic and I was impressed. It was a great help to me, as I work in a store that will be selling this model and I now know all about it's main features so I can sell their benefits to any customer's we get in the market for one.

Keep us informed of how you get on with them and on behalf of the forum we're glad to have been of service.
